Bob Patros' picture What about Bob?
Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Bob Patros and I was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. I have been a woodturner for six years and I enjoy the challenge brought on from finding a piece of timber and developing it into a functional or artistic piece. I have not dedicated myself to one or two types of turnings, as I seem to enjoy mixing things up.

For all my years of turning I have been a member of our local AAW chapter, Coulee Region Woodturners and of the American Association of Woodturners. Our chapter specializes in supporting and encouraging each other in the challenging journey of woodturning.

Turned wood pieces are one of the most attractive mediums to show natural beauty at it’s finest. Centuries ago, artisans developed woodturning techniques that are used today. Over the years, the craft of woodturning functional pieces has developed into an art form. Some pieces require months of preparation before the finished work is realized.

For some pieces, I have illustrated how the sequence of the turning took place. I hope you enjoy what you see. It is my pleasure to share my work with you!
