All these scales are vital in progressing as a musican. Don't be afraid to branch out and try to experience different styles of music. Different styles of music are not subject to using a different scales. Scales are universal, however, some offer very different feels; such as the Harmonic Minor. It offers a rather eary feel. Memorize as many scales as possible! Always look for new scales as well.
