Rob Electrifies Audience Of Nearly 2,000 In His
"New" Hometown…Mid-West Tour to Follow
On April 21st, 2007, Rob and his band headlined the Official Melvincares.com Launch Concert in La Crosse, WI at the La Crosse Center, playing to a wildly excited crowd of nearly 2,000 fans. Billed as "one unforgettable night," Rob delivered an electrifying performance, lasting nearly three hours.
Half way through the concert, Rob's eight piece band was joined on stage by 11 members of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra to further elevate the evening. Several audience members surveyed after the show reported "it was the best concert" they had ever seen. Many likened Rob's scorching performance to an Elton John concert or Bruce Springsteen.
Plans are in the works now to put Rob and His Band on a Mid-West theater tour with stops in Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay) and one stop in Illinois. A tentative return to the La Crosse Center is being planned for December.
The New York Times Backs Rob as an Emerging Artist for '07
Rob has been chosen out of literally hundreds of music artist's throughout the world to perform as part of the new and prestigious New York Times' Emerging Artist Series. The special showcase performance will take place on Saturday, January 6th at 7:30PM at Joe's Pub in New York City. As a part of this series, Rob and seven other artists will be presented in a special "Red Carpet Invite Only Press Presentation" on January 4th, to be hosted by none other than James Taylor.
