About us

The fruition of this page began when I realized that I was having trouble communicating with my parents in Hmong, my native tongue. Words that I could easily say began sounding wrong from my perspective and I was being corrected by the elders for my pronunciation on certain words. Simple words! I also started to notice that I would have trouble holding a conversation with older Hmong individuals when I would meet them. When I was younger, I remember being able to communicate easily with my parents and hold long conversations in Hmong without having a second thought on what I was saying. Nowadays, I do a double take on what I say and question myself if what I'm saying is correct. This has gotten me pretty upset. So, instead of loathing about this, I decided to turn it into my fuel to develop this site. Dedicated to those who are just like me, who are in need of help with getting a refresher on how to speak their native tongue and would like to be able to communicate with elders who lack knowledge of the English language.
