Beeswax Lipgloss

Beeswax is an excellent lip protectant, and in combination with your choice of essential oil, it makes a lipgloss that smells fantastic. Try out this recipe for your own lipgloss; you may color your lipgloss naturally with a pinch of beet powder. If you enjoy this item, then please support the pollinators who made it possible!

You will need:

1 tbsp shredded beeswax
1 melting pot (or an old pan on a stovetop)
1 tbsp essential oil of your choice
small containers (this recipe fills three lipstick containers)

  1. Heat the beeswax in the melting pot until liquid.

  2. Add the essential oil.

  3. Heat to 160 degrees.

  4. Pour into containers while hot and let it set until completely cool.
