Board Games

We all know what board games are. They always have a board, and something play with on the board. Often times board games use dice and cards as well. Compared to roleplaying games, board games are really easy to get started. They come pre packaged with everything you need to play. An all time favorite everyone loves is monopoly, but I will be talking about Grade-A nerd, tabletop board games.

Settlers of Catan

Settlers of Catan is a popular board game. It won board game of the year in 2013. Settlers of Catan is a game where you create a settlement in a new island continent of "Catan". To create your settlement however you need resources to do so. The five resources are as follows:

• Sheep
• Bricks
• Wood
• Hay
• Rocks

When you have these resources you can now build small villages or even large cities. Connecting them to each other and to ports using roads. The game is won when somebody reaches a certain number of points. Points are gotten randomly through cards, your number of settlements, or achievements from doing well in the game.
