Roleplaying Games
Roleplaying by definition is pretending to be someone else or pretending to be in a specific situation. Basically using your imagination to play pretend. To take your imagination and turn it into a game you need to add rules. Roleplaying games does exactly that. Books upon books of rules.
Dungeons & Dragons
Dungeons & Dragons is the most popular roleplaying game to date. It takes roleplaying in a fantasy direction in the most elaborate way. Using your imagination you explore a universe set out for you by your dungeon master. Paper and pen is needed to keep track of the stats of your character, as well as keeping tabs of inventory and useful notes of your surroundings. Dice are also required for Dungeons & Dragons. They are used as a fair random chance of how well you succeed in what you are doing. There are seven different dice used in dungeons and dragons.
- d4 - Four sided die
- d6 - Six sided die
- d8 - Eight sided die
- d10 - Ten sided die
- d10p - Ten sided percentile die
- d12 - Twelve sided die
- d20 - Twenty sided die
