Conflicts

Conflicts are the juicy parts. It’s where we really see the character grows and who she or he really is deep inside. Conflicts are one of the best way to develop a character.

Internal Conflicts

Internal conflicts are how the character is fighting him/herself. What should he/she do and if he/she should change who they are as they progresses forward. Internal, in my opinion, is best for developing a character. By pitting a person against his or herself; you get a good understanding of he or she is. Is he a loyal person, a good decision maker, a person who thinks of the consequences, or is he a person who follow his guts, intuition and heart.

External Conflicts

External conflicts are those with other characters, their surrounding and the events that just unfolded. While internal helps us determine how we feel about the character; external helps tell us how the world around him feels about him.
