New RAM or Random Access Memory is what makes your computer access information faster. When installing RAM there is a lot to look at. Before proceeding to the steps below examine the chart below to make sure you are installing correct and compatable RAM.

Installing the Device
- Follow the procedures from the getting start page.
- Open the computer case and locate the RAM ports. There will be writing on the motherboard that reads Dimm1 and Dimm2
- Take hold of the RAM as demonstrated in the image to the right and match up the RAM to the Dimm port.
- Push lightly until the RAM snaps into the Dimm port
- If you are installing more than one stick of RAM make sure you place the RAM in the same color Dimm port
- Turn on the computer and check your control panel to make sure the RAM is being read correctly
