Auroras

First on our tour, is the natural phenomenon known as auroras. Deemed the Northern and Southern lights, this display occurs in the Earth's upper atmosphere at high latitudes (close to the Earth's poles). Usually, auroras are seen in bright reds, blues, and greens in forms such as arcs, bands, curtains and patches. The cause of these spectacular light shows has to do with solar activity; protons and electrons emitted by solar winds interact with the molecules found in the Earth's atmosphere to create beautiful colors.
