Parícutin Volcano

Located in West-Central Mexico, the Parícutin Volcano is considered a natural wonder because its entire lifespan has been observed and recorded. The volcano is thought to be of the monolithic variety, meaning it only erupts once; it first erupted in 1943, and continued until 1952.The volcano stands at an elevation of 9,186 feet (2,800 meters).
