The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is the second stop on our tour. It is located in Arizona, and was carved out by millions of years of erosion from The Colorado River and its tributaries. Home to a huge number of rock types, caves, and geological features, The Grand Canyon has been the source of numerous valuable resources. It has provided a diverse range of fossils from three of the four eras of geological time, helping us to gain a greater understanding of the prehistoric world.
